Streets closed after CMV tries to squeeze under railroad bridge

A semi truck attempted to pass beneath a low bridge in New Mexico on Wednesday night. 

The incident happened on the evening of September 18th in Grants, New Mexico. 

According to KOB 4, the tractor trailer tried to drive beneath a railroad bridge on Fifth Street between Santa Fe Avenue and San Jose Drive. The truck then got caught beneath the low bridge, damaging the trailer and causing the truck to get stuck. 

Fifth Street will remain closed in the area until crews can clear the wreckage from the roadway and inspectors can evaluate the structural integrity of the bridge. 

No one was hurt in the accident. The accident is still under investigation.
