Trucker ejected and run over in fatal multi vehicle wreck on Interstate 10 on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened on February 13th just after 1:30 a.m. in Willcox, Arizona.
According to Herald Review, one tractor trailer was moving slowly in the right lane of I-10 near milepost 327 when a second semi truck came up behind it at a higher speed and rear ended the first truck. The force of the impact sent the slower semi truck off the roadway and then into the median, seriously damaging the passenger side of the cab.
“The co-driver of [the slow moving semi truck] was in the sleeper unrestrained and was ejected and subsequently ran over,” by another vehicle, a DPS spokesperson said.
The deceased driver’s next of kin had not been notified as of Tuesday afternoon. No further injuries have been reported, and no other information has been released.
