Trucker hit by car dies on way to hospital

Trucker hit by car on side of Dallas highway dies while being transported to a hospital early on Sunday morning. 

The accident happened just before 3 a.m. on Sunday, May 13th on the LBJ Freeway in Dallas, Texas. 

According to Fox 4, the tractor trailer was heading east on Interstate 635, also known as the LBJ Freeway, near Miller Road when it struck a barrier wall. The truck driver then brought the rig to a stop and got out of his cab, and that’s when he was struck by a car. 

First responders were called and transported the trucker to a nearby hospital, but he died on the way. The motorist remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with police. 

The incident is still under investigation and no charges have been announced.
