A trucker’s dash cam captured a scary moment for a fellow truck driver at a Canadian freight terminal.
The video was captured on November 1, 2024, at the Global Container Terminals (GCT) Vanterm location in Vancouver.
Port Transportation Association (PTA) spokesperson Tim Johnson told Daily Hive that the crane operator failed to raise a shipping container high enough, causing it to knock over another container. The falling container crashed down off the stack to the ground below, narrowly missing the cab of a truck, which was occupied by a driver at the time of the accident.
No injuries were reported.
“That driver wouldn’t even know what hit him,” Johnson told the outlet. “It’s extremely disturbing to see a video like that. I’m speechless.”
The Daily Hive later confirmed that the incident is under investigation by Canadian authorities.
