The Virginia Department of Forestry (VDF) shared video of a truck tipper used to unload a truck’s cargo of wood chips.
The video was captured at a Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC) biomass electric facility in Halifax County, Virginia. The plant uses wood waste from forests and the commercial logging industry to provide renewable energy for residents.
“These massive hydraulic lifts can tilt loaded semi-trucks more than 60 degrees to quickly empty their cargo, such as wood chips as seen here,” said VDF.
