Dallas Cowboys logo semi truck still at large after severing arm of motorist and driving off

Police are still searching for a distinctive semi truck that drove off after severing the arm of a motorist in an accident.

The accident happened at 6 a.m. on August 19th in the 5300 block of South Cockrell Hill Road in Dallas, Texas. The fleeing semi truck was captured on a nearby security camera.

According to NBC DFW, The motorist involved in the accident, Carlos Campos, was in his SUV with the window down, resting his arm on the side of the door when the semi truck veered into his car, severing his arm. Campos quickly called his wife and managed to drive himself to a nearby fire station. He was then transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment, which involved the amputation of his arm just above the elbow.

“He wasn’t yelling or anything, but he sounded, like, scared, I guess you could say. But he told me in Spanish like, ‘Hey, like, I got in a car accident and I lost my arm,’” recalled his wife, Lorena Macedo. “He said come because I’m scared I’m going to over bleed and not make it.”

The semi truck involved in the accident is painted blue with a Dallas Cowboys star logo on the side.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective J. Jackson at jearlynn.jackson@dallaspolice.gov, or at (214) 671-0009. Crime Stoppers is also offering up to a $5,000 reward in connection with the case.

“If he was me, I wouldn’t be acting like he is. He’s really, really strong,” said Macedo.
