Dozens of turkeys were left wandering Interstate 77 after a semi truck crash early on Thursday morning.
The accident happened on November 20th, at the exit 16B ramp from Interstate 77 to Sunset Road in Charlotte, North Carolina at around 1 a.m.
According to WBTV3, the yellow semi truck crashed, seriously damaging the truck cab and freeing some of the turkeys from their cages. Some turkeys were killed in the crash, but dozens of turkeys were left wandering on I-77.
The truck driver was seriously hurt in the crash. Details surrounding what led up to the crash and the truck driver’s condition have not been released.
The exit 16B ramp was shut down until about noon on Thursday. No further information has been released.
