Driver flown to hospital after roof collapsed on top of him in crash into home

A truck driver was flown to a trauma center after the roof of a house collapsed on top of him during a crash into the home.

The accident happened on August 25th at about 11:27 p.m. on Green Tree Boulevard near Arrowhead Drive in Victorville, California. 

According to Victor Valley News, the white 2019 Freightliner was heading north on Arrowhead Drive when the truck driver lost control. The semi truck then crashed into a traffic light pole and crashed into the back of a house. The semi truck plowed through the rear wall of the home and the roof collapsed on top of him. The truck driver was left trapped inside of the truck cab. 

The truck driver was trapped under the wreckage for about an hour before crews were able to extricate him. He was then transported to a hospital and later flown to a trauma center for treatment of serious injuries. No one inside of the house was hurt.
