A truck driver pleaded not guilty to DUI and other charges in court on Friday after a deadly crash in California early this week.
The accident happened on Tuesday, October 21st in Ontario, California. 21-year-old truck driver Jashanpreet Singh pleaded not guilty to charges of driving under the influence of drugs and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated on Friday, October 24th.
According to NewsNationNow, Singh is a “criminal alien” from India who entered the US through the southern border and was released in 2022. Two of the three people killed in the crash have been identified as Clarence and Lisa Nelson. Clarence was a high school basketball coach. Four other people injured in the crash sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Singh reportedly kept his head down for most of the court appearance as he pleaded not guilty to DUI. His next appearance is scheduled for November 4th.
