Four wheeler waiting to turn hit by tractor trailers on both sides of the highway

A four wheeler waiting to make a turn on a North Carolina Highway was hit by a tractor trailer going each direction on Wednesday. 

The accident happened on NC Highway 50 in Johnston County, North Carolina on May 14th. 

According to WRAL, the four wheeler was stopped on the roadway and waiting to turn when it was hit from behind by a tractor trailer. That collision pushed the car into the path of an oncoming semi truck, which caused the car to be hit again. The first tractor trailer then overturned. 

Aerial footage of the incident shows one rig in a roadside ditch and the other flipped, partially in the roadway. 

NC 50 was blocked at Surels Road while crews worked to clear the wreckage. The motorist in the car waiting to turn and the trucker in the overturned tractor trailer were both transported to a hospital with minor injuries. No further information has been released.
