Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said that she has driven semi trucks “over many many years” in a recent press conference covering foreign truck drivers.
In the press conference, Noem covered actions the government is taking to combat “dangerous” foreign drivers, and “Operation Midway Blitz” which was recently conducted in Indiana.
“Putting these foreigners in tracker trailers like the ones you see behind me becomes extremely dangerous,” Noem said during the Press Conference. “ I have driven semis over many many years and 18 wheelers and understand they’re difficult to stop, maneuver.”
Noem reportedly grew up the daughter of a cowboy in South Dakota and was a rancher with her husband and children.
