Love’s has launched its new Love’s Alternative Energy brand with the opening of a compressed natural gas station in Fresno.
The compressed natural gas (CNG) station is located along the Highway 99 corridor in Fresno, California and is unmanned with no driver amenities. The CNG station is considered a “cardlock” location, so customers must have a pre-approved card in order to purchase CNG. The station is available for use by fleets 24/7 and utilizes high speed dispensers. The CNG station also tracks every detail of the CNG transaction and provides this data to fleet managers.
The Fresno station is the first to be opened under the new Love’s Alternative Energy brand, but is one of 106 Love’s CNG stations in the US and Canada.
“The Fresno station addresses a growing demand for lower carbon fueling options for commercial trucking, refuse and transit fleets in this part of the country as it’s a significant logistics and supply chain hub,” said Ryan Erickson, vice president of Love’s Alternative Energy.
“This self-serving fueling facility gives our CNG fleet customers the ability to fuel on their schedule, competitive pricing, easy maneuvering for larger vehicles, and comprehensive reporting on fuel consumption. In addition, the location supports California’s climate goals to target carbon neutrality.”
