Santa hitches ride on fire truck for Colorado meet and greet

Published:

Santa hitched a ride on a fire truck to take a little meet and greet tour in central Colorado earlier this week.

The Cimarron Hills Fire Department in El Paso County, Colorado held their annual Santa Run meet and greet on Saturday, December 20th from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

According to KKTV11, Santa and the fire men used the fire truck to make 15 stops across the city, meeting with children and their parents along the way, spreading Christmas cheer

“They used to drive every single street in the district with Santa Claus. But now, you know, just with our population and how big we’ve gotten, now we just do pre-designated stops,” said Cimarron Hills Fire Chief Andrew York.

“What’s fun is to talk to the parents that were actually kids, you know, when they got to come out here the first time. So their parents brought them and now they are parents themselves bringing their kids out,” York said. “It’s pretty, pretty amazing to have those kind of memories and for our fire department to be involved in that for over 50 years.”
