Police jokingly say there “may have been a shoe or two” thrown at speeding cars during the cleanup of a wreck involving tractor trailer hauling clothing donations.
The accident happened on Saturday, August 30th in Baylor County, Texas on Highway 277 where it crosses over FM 422.
According to Texomas News, the semi truck veered off the right side of the road, skidded against the cement bridge wall, and then rolled off of the bridge. The trailer then plummeted off of the overpass and broke open, scattering “exploded bags of donated clothing everywhere.” The tractor landed upside down on the overpass with the two rear axles hanging off of the road.
The truck driver was not hurt in the accident, but towing companies and Texas DOT were out there “forever” cleaning up the mess according to the Baylor County Sheriff’s Office.
BCSO jokingly says that “there may have been a shoe or two thrown at passing cars to get them to SLOW DOWN.”
No further information on the tractor trailer crash has been released.
