Subpoenas issued for trucking company in fatal u-turn crash

Criminal and civil subpoenas have been issued to the trucking company involved in the fatal u-turn crash in Florida back in August.

The subpoenas were announced on Thursday, September 4th  by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier during a news conference in Hillsborough County, Florida.

According to Fox 29, White Hawk Carriers out of Ceres, California employed 28-year-old truck driver Harjinder Singh at the time of the u-turn crash. The documentation issued will compel the company to share business records, communications, and certifications related to the licensing and employment of Singh.

“In Florida, we don’t just talk the talk, we’re going to use every tool, every legal tool, at our disposal to fight back and protect our citizens,” Uthmeier said. “(Singh) never should have received that CDL license in the first place,” Uthmeier continued. “Not only was he illegally here in the country, but he also did not have the competency, the skillset. There’s no way he went through the proper training in order to get this license.”

“Accountability is coming for these sanctuary policies putting Floridians at risk, which is why I also issued a criminal subpoena to the employer of the illegal alien truck driver who killed three in St Lucie County and sent a list of legal demands to Washington and California,” the press release reads.
