Trucker plans to simply pay off some bills with $50,000 lottery win

A truck driver says he just plans to pay off some bills with the proceeds from his recent $50,000 lottery win. 

A truck driver on his regular route stopped at a Odenton, Maryland gas station on July 26th to grab some lunch and a few lottery tickets. 

“The place is on my route,” the truck driver said of the Royal Farms gas station. “I’ve stopped there before for a sandwich and drink, and my tickets. I had a feeling about my birthday so I played those numbers on my Pick 3 and then used Quick Pick for the others. The Pick 3 ticket was supposed to be the lucky one. That’s the one I felt best about.”

On the morning of July 27th, he saw on the lottery app that his lucky birthday numbers had not won him anything, but was quickly surprised to find that another one of his tickets had scored him a pretty big win, reported the Bay Net.

“The Pick 4 tickets weren’t winners, but I saw match after match on Pick 5. All I saw were matches!” the truck driver said. “I called in my wife to check my ticket on her app. She did and then looked at me in shock.”

Now the winners of a $50,000 lottery prize, the truck driver and his wife say they will simply pay off some bills with their winnings, just to make their life easier. The couple may also purchase a new car.
