A truck driver is hurt but doing okay after a crash into a 1929 building left him trapped inside of the truck cab.
The accident happened in the 900 block of Tallyrand Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida on Tuesday morning, April 15th.
According to First Coast News, a traffic cam caught the semi truck hauling a flatbed traveling on the roadway before crashing into the 1929 building, which serves as the headquarters for Blue Stone Construction.
No one was inside of the building at the time of the crash, but the truck driver was left trapped in the cab and had to be extricated by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. A power line had to be cut during the rescue in order to successfully retrieve the driver.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The truck driver was seriously hurt, but is reportedly expected to recover.
