Trucker’s dash cam captures his rescue of a lost toddler

A trucker captured his rescue of a lost toddler on his dash cam in this strange story with a happy ending. 

Truck driver Ed Coleman says he was passing through a busy intersection on a dark, rainy evening in Papillion, Nebraska last month when he noticed something very concerning standing on a median in the middle of the road – a little boy. 

The truck driver immediately turned around and rushed to gather up the lost toddler, wrapping him in his coat and putting him in the passenger seat. The driver then called police to report the incident, and let the boy watch a movie on his phone as they waited for authorities to arrive. 

“And there’s this little boy he can’t be much older than 3 years old just standing in the middle of the road,” Coleman said to officers on the phone. 

The boy was carrying a small bag with pull-ups and clothes with him, reported 3NewsNow. It is unclear whether the boy packed the bag himself. 

About an hour after police collected the boy, they contacted Coleman to let him know the boy was safe and reunited with his parents. It is unclear how the boy ended up in the median by himself.
