The Washington State Department of Transportation is reminding truck drivers to chain-up after a morning of icy issues.
Interstate 82 near Ellensburg, Washington was blocked on Friday morning, January 3rd after several semi trucks lost control and blocked the roadway, reported KXLY.
Eastbound I-82 is back open near Ellensburg. Chains are required in both directions. Chains are also required on SR 821 through the Canyon.

WSDOT has since issued a reminder that all vehicles over 10,000 are currently required to use chains on both directions of I-82.
No injuries were reported in this morning’s incident.
