Estes Express Lines says that they are hoping for better efficiency and less disruption in the Kentucky/Indiana region after moving to a terminal with nearly twice as many doors.
Estes Express Lines recently moved from their 46 door terminal in Louisville, Kentucky to a new 82 door service center in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
According to WAVE, The move will help the company to essentially double the amount of orders they can take on, and will make the truck yard safer with more space to move cargo around. The larger facility will also allow Estes to bring in more tractor trailers and add jobs to the market in Southern Indiana.
“The more opportunity we have with capacity, the more freight we’re able to bring in here — rerouting to just maximize our network — the more people we can bring in,” said Greg Richardson of Estes Express Lines. “And that’s really what our focus is, is to give really good quality jobs to great people.”
Estes Express believes that the new location will give their fleet better access to metro areas in the Kentucky/Indiana region.
