Nearly $73k raised for family of driver found dead after suspected hijacking

Nearly $743,000 has been raised to support the family of a truck driver found dead after an FBI investigation into a suspected hijacking. 

41-year-old Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez was last seen on April 17th in Brevard County, Florida. He was reported missing by the FBI on April 24th, and his body was reported found in Georgia on April 28th. 

The FBI considered the incident a “suspicious disappearance” and investigated the incident as a possible hijacking.

The GoFundMe page, which is written in Spanish, describes Gonzales as a great worker, father, husband, and important contributor to the family and his community. 

The fundraiser has received 587 donations worth $72,806 as of Monday, May 4th. The page shows a goal of $110,000.
