New York troopers issue 236 tickets in commercial vehicle crackdown on Taconic State Parkway

The New York State Police (NYSP) conducted a two-day commercial vehicle enforcement campaign on the Taconic State Parkway, resulting in hundreds of traffic tickets.

NYSP held the operation on August 19 and 20, 2026, on the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess counties.

The detail targeted commercial vehicles, which are prohibited from travel on using New York State’s Parkway system.

Troopers issued 236 Uniform Traffic Tickets during the two-day operation, including:

Additionally, troopers conducted 21 commercial vehicle inspections, leading to the discovery of 99 Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration violations, as well as 6 driver out-of-service orders and 6 vehicle out-of-service orders.

A similar commercial vehicle-focused operation held on the Taconic State Parkway on July 27 and July 28, 2026, resulted in 158 citations.
