A semi truck was placed out of service and towed after an officer discovered parts of the cab were being held together by duct tape.
The semi truck was seen on Highway 11 in Corman Park, Saskatchewan, Canada on February 1st.
According to Discover Humboldt, the Corman Park Police Service was notified of the semi truck’s condition by an off-duty RCMP officer. A Corman Park officer soon located the truck and conducted a traffic stop. During that stop, the officer noticed that the parts of the rig were being held together by duct tape. These issues included smashed side windows covered by duct tape, a windshield with severe damage limiting the driver’s view, and a driver’s side mirror taped together.
The semi truck was immediately placed out of service and towed from the highway before a Periodic Motor Vehicle Inspection was conducted. The truck driver was given several citations. The officer says the carrier will be notified of the severe safety issues on the semi truck.
