A truck driver was found with counterfeit money after police tracked him down for keeping a company rig for personal use after being fired from the job.
40-year-old truck driver Kevin L. Henderson was arrested outside of Arconic Mill products at 1480 Manheim Pike in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Thursday, January 23rd.
According to Daily Voice, A trucking company out of San Diego contacted police to report a stolen semi truck. The company notified officers that a truck driver had been fired and instructed to return his company semi truck around December 19th, but the driver had ignored the instructions. The truck was soon tracked to Lancaster, and local police arrived at Arconic Mill to find Henderson closing up the back of the tractor trailer.
Henderson was identified through his California driver’s license. He told police he had just dropped off a load, and admitted that he had been using the semi truck for a few months to take on his own jobs after being fired from the company that owned the truck.
Officers were given permission to search the truck, where they found ziplock bags containing a grinder and counterfeit $100 bills. Henderson was charged with Forgery, Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Henderson was taken into custody. He has since been released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
