James Bay Ontario Provincial Police responded to reports of a smoking tire on a commercial vehicle in Hearst earlier this month.
The violation was discovered at around 11:15 a.m. on February 21st in Hearst, Ontario, Canada.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, police were called on reports of a smoking tire, and soon located the CMV in question. The rig was found to have a complete wheel separation on the trailer’s front passenger side, along with several missing lug nuts.
The truck driver and the Winnipeg-based trucking company were both charged with offences related to operating an unsafe vehicle and operating a CMV with a major defect.
