Truck driver cited for attending Zoom meeting while driving

A truck driver was pulled over and cited for attending a video meeting while driving a commercial vehicle over the weekend. 

The truck driver was stopped in Lambton, Ontario, Canada on Highway 402 on Sunday, March 29th. 

According to Lambton OPP, an officer with the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police stopped the tractor trailer when he noticed the driver using a screen while behind the wheel. The officer soon realized that the truck driver was attending a Teams video meeting while driving. 

The truck driver was charged for having a display screen visible to the driver while operating a vehicle. Lambton OPP is currently targeting distracted driving on local roadways.
