Trucker documents his oversize load journey across USA during winter storm

Watch this driver’s journey as he tries to make it across the country with an oversize load during this ‘historic’ winter storm

The truck driver has been posting about his journey hauling what appears to be part of a train from Milwaukee to Houston before it makes its way out of the port and all the way to Egypt.

“It’ll get on a boat and go to Egypt,” the driver writes in a video about the load on January 23rd.

“This weather has us holed up in Effingham. It looks like we’ll be here until Monday,” the driver writes the next day, January 24th at about 9:30 p.m.

By 11 a.m. on January 26th, the driver appears to still be stuck in Illinois.

“Fun fact about oversized loads, almost every state requires the road to be “free and clear” of ice and snow. It stopped snowing in central/southern IL yesterday about 1500 and #Illinois still can’t get I-57 cleared,” he wrote of his predicament.

While this is probably a different load, as it was posted on January 17th, here is another look at this heavy hauler’s trucking adventures. This time making his way through Kansas on a very sketchy route given to him by the state.
