This is why so many truckers refuse NYC
This dash cam video is a perfect example of why so many truckers refuse to drive in NYC.
In the clip, a trucker is just trying to take an exit that’s already backed up when four-wheeler after four-wheeler noses their way in front of him, making it impossible for him to make any progress towards driving forward.
“How they roll in New York man. It’s crazy,” the driver says in the video.
The trucker maintains his cool, but finally unleashes the truck horn when a utility van gets so brazen that it noses in front of the truck while still blocking the lane of flowing traffic.
‘“Me first,’” commented one viewer.
“NYC is a culture of “try me as*hole” and ‘f*ck around and find out’ moves. You got to have bigger balls than the other guys or you’ll be standing there forever getting cut off by every single car,” wrote another.
“I dont know how you cope with that! I truck up to Whitehorse, in the Yukon. My biggest frustration was rerouting because of forest fires, and Bison lounging around on the hwy,” added a third.
We hope that driver somehow eventually got to where he was going. It’s pretty easy to see why so many truckers refuse NYC.
