A large amount of new Tesla semi trucks were spotted outside of a factory in Nevada recently.
The Tesla electric semi truck officially went into production nearly two years ago, but the truck still appears to exist in very limited numbers, despite Tesla having the capacity to produce as many as 5 a week, reported Electrek.
26 new Tesla semi trucks were recently spotted parked outside of the company’s pilot factory near Gigafactory Nevada, leading to speculation that the company is finally ramping up production of the rigs.
Tesla is currently in the process of constructing a new facility aimed at producing the electric semi trucks at a higher volume. The new factory is expected to be up and running some time next year.
