Truck driver found guilty in parking dispute attack on elderly man

A truck driver was found guilty in court on Tuesday after a parking dispute attack on an elderly man.

The incident happened in the summer of 2021 in Laredo, Texas. Leiser Serrano-Forte was found guilty on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025.

According to KGNS, Salvador Arredondo arrived home to find a tractor trailer parked in his yard. He approached the truck driver, Leiser Serrano-Forte, and told him to leave, because he did not have permission to park on his private property.

Serrano-Forte then reportedly told Arredondo that he had been told by another man that he could park there. Arredondo began walking towards his own vehicle to retrieve his phone so he could call police, but Serrano-Forte began assaulting him. Police arrived later to find Arredondo lying on the ground.

Serrano-Forte was found guilty of injury to an elderly person causing serious bodily injury, which is a first-degree felony. The jury suggested a sentence of 10 years probation for the parking dispute attack. He may be sentenced to pay restitution at a later date. No further information has been released.
