What we Offer:
- Day Shift: Start 1am-3am and work until 2pm-4pm
- Monday - Friday, weekend work available
- Flat rate pay - PER LOAD
- Consistent year round work
- RAIL & PORT Work - TWIC REQUIRED
- Runs/Lanes: one local in the Reno area and one going out to the ports in Oakland. Average about 200 miles locally and 350 miles when going to Oakland
- HOME DAILY
- No touch freight
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Prior rail experience preferred but not required
- Class A CDL
- 2005 or newer tractor
- 6 months of verifiable experience in the last year
- Clean driving record with proven safe-driving history
- No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
- No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Strong time management & communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate commercial trucks safely and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Transport goods to assigned destinations within scheduled timeframes.
- Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours, driving hours, and rest periods (DOT compliance).
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or route changes.
- Ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation (bills of lading, delivery receipts, etc.).
- Follow planned routes while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions.
- Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites.
- Keep equipment clean and report any necessary repairs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
- Exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Early morning, late evening, weekend, or holiday shifts may be required.
