Truck Driver Caught Watching Soccer Game While Driving

According to the Nebraska State Patrol,on Wednesday, April 15, a Nebraska State Patrol Carrier Enforcement Trooper pulled in a truck for a routine stop on the I-80 eastbound scale near Waverly.

The trooper noticed the truck driver was wearing earbuds. As he climbed onto the side of the truck to talk to the driver, he noticed the driver’s cell phone was taped to the steering wheel!

The trooper asked the driver why the phone was tapped to the wheel, and the driver admitted he was watching a soccer game.

The Trooper issued the 24-year-old truck driver from Arizona a $200 citation for using a handheld device while driving.

There is no word on how long the driver had been watching the game or if he had been watching it while  on the roadway.
