Transportation Department officials in Seattle and Washington took to Twitter to warn drivers about dinosaurs on the road on Wednesday.
The Twitter exchange began when a WSDOT Traffic employee said this:
No dinosaurs on the roads this afternoon… and I don’t want to see any. But I do really want to see #JurassicWorld.
— WSDOT Traffic (@wsdot_traffic) June 16, 2015
Which prompted Seattle DOT to tweet:
@wsdot_traffic Might want to check your cameras again WSDOT, I think you’re missing something. pic.twitter.com/aZsTTpIpqy — seattledot (@seattledot) June 16, 2015
The official WSDOT account then shared this image of a dinosaur being transported on a flatbed truck.
@wsdot_traffic You mean this wasn’t real? #enddinosaurcrueltypic.twitter.com/Jdk2put2rB — Washington State DOT (@wsdot) June 16, 2015
But, being the DOT, they got back to their usual selves:
@wsdot @wsdot_traffic That load is not properly secured. We are sending our Commercial Vehicle Enforcement/ Dinosaur Tamers to the scene.
