An oil truck driver escaped injury this morning after a rollover accident in Skowhegan, Maine this morning.
According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Friday, December 12th.
At the time of the accident, the driver had been making a delivery on Bigelow Hill Road when his rig began to lose traction, eventually slid down an icy driveway, and flipped over.
The truck was carrying approximately 4,000 gallons of fuel. Fortunately, only a small amount of the load spilled out as a result of the accident. The State Department of Environmental Protection has already been called to the scene to get the oil spill contained.
