A trucker with more than 30 years of experience behind the wheel dished the details on his eye-popping super-villain inspired semi truck.

Driver Spotlight: Lynn Jackson & The Joker

If truck driver Lynn Jackson passes you on the road, we promise you’ll take notice.

That’s because he’ll be the guy in the acid green and velvet purple Peterbilt dubbed “The Joker” in honor of the iconic Batman villain.

Jackson started driving semis in 1989 — coincidentally, the same year that Tim Burton’s classic Batman movie debuted — and after decades behind the wheel, he says that he found a home with Colcord, Oklahoma-based refrigerated carrier Hurricane Express.

Jackson says that he and his family have been huge fans of the Batman and Joker characters featured in comics, television, and film, and that he looked for a way to express his fandom in his trucking career.

That’s where Hurricane Express came in.

The company has made a name for themselves with their unmissable fleet of driver-designed custom trucks. Jackson said that he was instantly drawn to Hurricane because he’d be able to get a new truck just the way he wanted it with a color scheme straight out of Gotham City.

“When you come here, you have a 90-day period where they’re getting to know you and you’re getting to know them. After that, the owner comes to you and asks you what truck you want, what colors and works to get you your truck. If I want different lights on my truck, I just pull into the shop and tell them and they put them on for me,” Jackson explained.

Jackson even says that Hurricane Express CEO Kaedon Steinert is having a custom hood ornament created especially for the Joker.

Jackson says that the custom trucks were the thing that brought him to Hurricane Express, but he’s stayed because of the driver-centric culture, family atmosphere, and the pay.

“I’ve been with a lot of companies and have done many other leases and this is the best. I always make money. I always have a paycheck,” Jackson said.

Hurricane Express has been in business for over 28 years and specializes in hauling temperature-controlled shipments including meat, seafood, and produce. The company offers a variety of driving career options, including OTR, local and regional, and lease-purchase from almost anywhere in the U.S. To learn more about joining the Hurricane Express team, you can click here.
