Pilot to offer company truck drivers, truck stop workers, cash incentive to get vaccine

Published:

The Pilot Company recently announced that it would offer a financial incentive to company employees who choose to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

In an April 1 news release, Pilot announced that it would offer a one-time, $75 vaccine incentive to all hourly team members, professional drivers, and general managers in the United States and Canada.

Pilot says that they will not require that any employee receive the vaccine and that team members should consult with their doctor about whether to get vaccinated.

“Our team members and drivers have been on the front lines keeping our travel centers going and the economy moving since the start of the pandemic,” said Shameek Konar, Pilot Company CEO. “We are incredibly proud of their dedication to serving our guests and supplying fuel across North America. Now, as the COVID-19 vaccine becomes more available, we hope to make it easier for our team members who choose to get vaccinated.”

In January 2021, Love’s Travel Stops announced similar incentive pay of $75 for workers who choose to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
