Massive Capitol Christmas Tree arrives in D.C.

The Capitol Christmas Tree arrived in the nation’s capital on Friday.

The tree arrived at its final destination – Washington D.C. –  on November 18th, reported Fox 8.

Hardy Brothers Trucking Company, out of Siloam, North Carolina, was the trucking company responsible for the tree’s safe transportation. They were selected to transport the tree back in July. The tree was then selected from the National Forests in North Carolina and hauled to the capital, along with thousands of handmade ornaments from the people of North Carolina and several smaller trees for offices inside of the nation’s capital.

The tree was hauled by Hardy Brothers team drivers Harold “Ed” Kingdon Jr. and Deborah Z. Kingdon, who have been married for 42 years.
