A witness found a trucker crushed beneath loaded trailer at a Florida trucking company on Tuesday morning.
The driver was found at Lineage Logistics on Dignan Street in Jacksonville, Florida just before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9th.
According to News4Jax, officers were called to the scene after someone found the driver underneath a trailer. He was dead by the time paramedics arrived.
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Steve Rudlaff says it appears that the driver was heading out with a fully loaded trailer when the rig experienced some sort of issue. The driver stopped the truck and was working alone underneath the rig when the trailer slipped, crushing him beneath it.
Some time later, the driver was found underneath the trailer by a witness. The man has not been publicly identified, but is believed to be in his 30s or 40s.
OSHA and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office are working on the investigation. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500.
