The driver of a trash truck has been airlifted to a California hospital after being pinned between his truck and a dumpster Wednesday morning.
According to officials, the driver had been trying to empty a dumpster at an apartment complex in Vista around 10:30 a.m. when he noticed that the dumpster was rolling towards a car. He jumped out of the trash truck to stop the dumpster from hitting the vehicle. Unfortunately, he had forgotten to set the parking break, and his truck rolled forward – pinning him against the dumpster.
Fortunately, his co-worker was able to free him, and performCPR to revive the driver. His condition is not currently known.
