A Missouri Department of Transportation worker is hurt but alive after a semi truck crashed through a construction site on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened on May 25th in Lee’s Summit, Missouri along Interstate 470.
According to Fox 4 News, a semi truck was traveling westbound on I 470 just before Blue Ridge Boulevard when it crashed into the back of a buffer truck situated just in front of a construction zone.

As for the TMA, it will have to be scrapped after being destroyed in the crash.

Luckily, the buffer truck did its job and absorbed most of the impact from the crash, but one MDOT worker was still injured in the incident.
The extent of the worker’s injuries have not been released, but they were transported to a nearby hospital. They are expected to recover. No information regarding the truck driver has been released.
