Trucker uninjured after collision with drowsy motorist

A truck driver walked away unscathed after a drowsy motorist ripped through the side of his cab on Wednesday. 

The accident happened at around 4:45 p.m. on January 27th in Glades County, Florida. 

According to Fox 4 News, a van was heading southeast on Country Road 74 west of State Road 29 when the motorist fell asleep and sideswiped an oncoming tractor trailer, ripping through the side of the truck’s cab. The force of the impact caused the van to flip several times before coming to a stop on the grassy shoulder. 

The trucker was not hurt in the incident, but the motorist is described as being in serious condition.
