One of the biggest names in the entertainment industry gave a huge shout-out in honor of the tireless efforts of America’s truck drivers during the pandemic.

Illinois-based carrier GP Transco recently teamed up with iconic rapper turned Hollywood heavyweight Ice-T to create a video shout-out to the hardworking men and women of the trucking industry.

Speaking from the set of the popular television series Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Ice-T shared a down-to-earth message of appreciation for the way America’s truckers stepped up to keep their country moving in a time of crisis.

Between scenes, you know, doing my job, I just want to give you guys a shout-out for doing your job all during the COVID crisis, getting these trucks all over the country, all over the United States, getting people food and essential supplies on the store shelves. Y’all get it done and I have nothing but respect for you, okay,” Ice-T said.

This is not the first time that GP Transco has teamed up with a celebrity to show truckers some of the respect that they deserve — last year, the carrier partnered with action icons and overall bada$$es Chuck Norris and Dolph Lundgren to deliver messages of gratitude to drivers.

GP Transco has been able to thrive in tough times by fostering a company culture of appreciation and respect for their most valuable assets — their drivers. The company achieved a remarkable 70% driver retention rate in 2020 by offering industry-leading driver pay, offering extra pay for optional driver-facing cameras, providing stability by growing their dedicated customer base, and putting rigorous safety measures in place to protect drivers from Coronavirus.

For more than 14 years, GP Transco has provided dry van freight logistics services throughout the U.S. and Canada. To join a team that goes the extra mile to support their professional drivers, click here to get started.
