If this dash cam video doesn’t convince drivers to slow down and move over, nothing will

Published:

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) shared dash cam video from a trooper’s vehicle to remind the public of the importance of moving over for emergency vehicles.

The dash cam video was shared by MSHP in February 2022, but it was captured on I-29 in 2021, police say.

MSHP said, “When temperatures drop, road conditions will quickly worsen. The Patrol urges drivers to not travel unless absolutely necessary! Please move over for first responders!”

In the video, several vehicles lose control on the snowy roadway as a trooper is pulled off on the shoulder behind a passenger vehicle. The trooper’s cruiser is hit hard by a bus. A second bus appears to avoid the cruiser but then strikes the passenger vehicle on the shoulder.
