Transportation officials released traffic camera video of a violent truck crash that occurred in a construction area in Clarington, Ontario.
The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on November 1 on eastbound Highway 401 at Courtice Road.
In video shared by OPP’s Highway Safety Division, you can see that a semi truck driver fails to slow for traffic and collides with the trailer of a second semi, resulting in a three vehicle crash.
“Obviously [the driver] was not aware of changing traffic conditions. Amazingly, just minor injuries to the driver of that truck,” OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt told CityNews.
OPP says that the truck driver who caused the crash was cited for careless driving.
