Vigil attended by hundreds for family killed by ex-driver at their company

Published:

Hundreds of people gathered on Sunday to mourn a family of four killed by an ex-driver at their California trucking company.

The family was kidnapped and killed on October 3rd by a former driver at their trucking company after an ongoing disagreement about money. Their bodies were discovered on the outskirts of some rural farmland outside of Merced, California several days later.

The former employee, Jesus Salgado, has since been charged with the murders. His brother, Alberto Salgado, has been charged with accessory.

Hundreds of people gathered on Sunday, October 16th as the family was laid to rest in Turlock.

“We are just here to show the family there now, they’re not in this alone,” said Mani Grewal, Stanislaus County Supervisor.

“I don’t know how the family is going to come out of this tragedy. It’s going to be very difficult. We are here to support the family,” said Sanjeeve Tewari, a friend of the family.
