This video of trucks backing into a dock amid New York City traffic will make your palms sweaty

Published:

The truckers in this anxiety-inducing video display an impressive mix of skill and patience as they manage backing maneuvers amid heavy traffic in New York City.

In the video, two truck drivers with nerves of steel have to perform a tough backing maneuver into a facility while dealing with impatient New York motorists eager to be on their way.

The video has been viewed more than 3.4 million times and has generated thousands of comments from viewers.

And that’s why I could never be a truck driver. I got no skills. Hats  off to the ones that do. Thanks for what you do on a daily,” said one commenter.

People don’t realize that those loading docks were built in the ’40s for 35 foot trailers with day cabs. Today some dispatchers send 53 foot reefers with sleeper cabs to the same places. Go figure,” another person pointed out.

We could never get our truck into NYC. Hats off to the drivers that do it so we don’t have to,” commented another viewer.
