A truck driver named Melanie recently brought sweet treats to a fire station in Pennsylvania to thank the crews who helped rescue her following a recent crash that left her trapped.

A few weeks ago, crews with Manheim Township Fire Rescue (MTFR) responded to a crash on Route 222 and found truck driver Melanie trapped in the driver’s seat of her truck.

Firefighters were able to extricate Melanie, and she later dropped by the fire station and dropped off cookies and whoopie pies for the crews as a way to say thanks.

“Thank you Melanie, we’re glad you are doing well and we enjoyed getting to chat with you!” MTFR said.
