In a paragraph or two, take some time and tell our readers a little bit about your company. In other words, who are you and what do you do?

Our truck driver careers include all levels of experience, as well as flatbed/specialized, van, refrigerated and curtainside cargo.

In your mind, what makes your company unique from all of the other trucking companies that exist?

We’re one of the (if not the) safest carriers in the nation. We’re built on values, and safety is our cornerstone value.

With there being so much competition between trucking companies for experienced drivers why should a prospective driver consider working for your company as opposed to all of the other trucking companies that are looking to hire drivers?

Our CEO, Rick Roehl, is also a driver. He still gets behind the wheel to haul loads because it keeps him close to our drivers’ jobs.

What can you tell our readers about the culture of your company?

Our Wall of Values describes how we conduct our business. Our drivers hold safety as a personal value. Our non-driving teammates hold driver success as a personal value. We have a team atmosphere – everyone is treated with respect on Team Roehl. http://www.roehl.jobs/about-roehl

Can you share with our reader’s some things that they may not know about you?

We’ve won trucking’s top honor three times – the ATA President’s Trophy.

Most of our readers of very aware of the turnover problem that exists within the trucking industry. Generally, what is your company’s thoughts on driver turnover and what is your company doing to reduce the turnover rate at your organization?

Driver Success is on our Wall of Values – we provide responsiveness, care and solutions to help Roehl drivers achieve their personal and professional goals. Some examples of this are the Your Choice Pay Plan – this lets our drivers get a raise each quarter up to our top rate – it’s based on the driver’s performance. The MyRoehl smartphone app connects our drivers to messaging and tools through TeamRoehl.com. Roehl Youniversity provides distance learning and training. The Roehl Honor Program recognizes veterans for their military service. The Roehl Apprenticeship program is approved by the DoL and VA – it provides additional training and certifications for drivers that want it. We offer career-paths to all TeamRoehl members – career choices both in and out of the truck. Our Life Outside the Truck (LOT) program reinforces our commitment to our driving teammates’ home time – we measure our home time performance. Our maintenance team measures the time that trucks are in the shop for repairs in minutes, not days like most other carriers. All of those support driver success.
