Our founders Royal Jones and Jimmy Ray were also the first truck drivers at MVT, hauling refrigerated goods throughout the Southwest. Fast-forward from 1982 to today and we are now the largest, privately-owned transportation fleet in the U.S. 

Located in Las Cruces, NM, and in El Paso, TX, Mesilla Valley Transportation began in 1982 as a small independent fleet in the Southwest. In the late ’80s, MVT went through controlled growth and began servicing the 48 states and Canada, and rapidly recognized as the leader in quality service and on-time delivery. Today, Mesilla Valley Transportation is the largest privately-owned truckload carrier in the U.S.
