What is the passenger policy?
For Owner Operators, over 18 and for a specified period of time. A form has to filled out. If its long term then we onboard the passenger as an authorized passenger /helper
What is the pet policy?
Owner Operators can have pets. We just need to be aware of it for load planning purposes. There are a few shippers that will not allow pets on property

Are drivers able to stay within a certain geographical area or are they required to run wherever the company runs?
Again no forced dispatch. We have some local, some regional and some OTR drivers. Even the OTR we have some who don't want to go to California, or the Mountains in the winter. That's fine, communicate with your Fleet Manager to find a solution that works.
Does your company use customer based freight or brokered freight?
Primarily Customer Based freight.

How long is the company’s orientation process?
Orientation is 90% On Line. Owner Operators can do this from Anywhere. The only in person part is the Road-test and spending a few minutes getting to know your Fleet Manager.
- Lease Purchase Questions
Does your company offer a Lease Purchase Program?
We have a Rental Program available through a partner company. Maintenance included.
Is the driver required to be a company driver first before becoming eligible to lease a truck?
The main requirement is that you have at least 1 year experience driving the class of vehicle you will operate under Crane's authority, You can start as an IC from day 1
Are your hiring qualifications for Lease Purchase different from what they are for your company drivers? If so, how are they different?
No difference.
What is required from the driver to get started with the Lease? (Money Down, Money in Reserve, Credit Check)
We do not require a down payment for the tractor rental program. No Long term commitment
How long is the lease for?
open ended.
Can drivers get fuel anywhere or are they limited to certain fuel stops?
You can fuel wherever EFS is accepted. We suggest using the EFS ap to look at the discounted fuel prices before choosing. We have discounts at Loves, Ta/ Petro, SAPP Brothers and many other stations. Because some of these stations have the ability to Increase discounts daily, you should always Check the ap before choosing where to fuel. TA/Petro has a guaranteed 25 cents off of retail, but their stations can increase that discount to be more competitive. We have seen much bigger discounts from them.
